My First Date

I really wanted to tell you things via video camera, but I'm not skilled like that.
Trust me, I spent two days TRYING to record the things I would have you know... but it's just not meant to be.

The worst part is, the subject was on my first date.
So, the story starts on Thursday, September twenty-eighth, 2011.
Mary needed my good sixteen year old friend Calvin out of the house for Friday night.
Previous to this, I was facing doubt that I would ever go on a date because it's been a week since I turned sixteen. I know, I feel so petty thinking that.
I did the only logical thing a teenage girl could do in denile: "Hey, Calvin! Let's go on a date!"
"But... I wanted to ask you..." said Calvin.
In the end, it was a mutual agreement, and he's the one that asked me. I just took the words out of his mouth.
That lunch period, we discussed what we might do with everyone else out there.
Poor Shaylee. She really wanted to come.
We found other people to join us, but the day of the date came, and they couldn't come anymore.
It was thirty minutes until he would be at my house and I was at my neighbor's home doing some visiting teaching with my mother, and I was freaking. out.
I ran back to my home, and put on date worthy clothes and fussed too much with my hair. I wandered about my kitchen, not quite sure what to do with my hands, when I see a pretty red car pull up to my house.

My heart was hidden somewhere in my intestines, if memory proves true.

I hear the doorbell ring, and I see Calvin... and Mr. Calvin. I open the door and invite them into my house, and I'm still just exploding. I was so nervous! Calvin and Mr. Calvin shake my mother's hands and my sister is making pizza in the background watching my every move. The three of them discuss the time I should be home. (11:30-much too late for my taste.) I thank my mother, grab a jacket and my bag and we go to the car.

He opened the door for me.

We go to the Varsity Viking Football game, and someone gives him some Drum Line drums. He hands them to me and Mr. Burgoine looks at me and firmly informs me that Non-percussionists are allowed on the drums.

I was afraid for my life.

We promptly wander about until we realize the score of the game. We were losing so badly, and it was only the first quarter! So we grab a group, which consisted of Austyn, Andrew, and Lauren and we head down to Sammy's for Pie-Shakes. . . in the dark.

We ate our Pie-Shakes and go outside and wait for a ride from Calvin's father. Andrew stage punches me and I stage slap him. Poor Sammy workers. I think I scared them

We all cram into the cute red car and go to Calvin's house for Apples to Apples.
The green card was "Dirty" and I was the judge. Calvin put down Dating.
We all know who won that round.

It was eleven and everyone was exhasted so Calvin's father proceeded to drop everyone off at their home and I was first.

The Dreaded Door-step Scene
As we were driving down the road toward my home, I see my ENTIRE family in my front yard looking up. My mother realizes who the car belongs to and quickly herded everyone back inside with that creepy/awkward smile upon her face. When they all get inside, Calvin and I stumble out of the cute red car and awkwardly shuffle towards the door.

I could just feel the eyes of Andrew, Austyn, Lauren, and Mr. Calvin as we approached the door-step.

We awkwardly glance at each other, unsure what to do.

So we totally macked.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! OH, HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
No. I don't think so.
We hugged and I went inside.

come on, do you honestly think I would/could do that?!
