That was the first time I had ever landed a big role.
I strayed from the VCP, in search of bigger and better things, Pleasant Grove High School in particular. They could pull off any show and I was going to be a part of it.
The summer before my senior year of high school.
I got a Facebook message from my old director at the VCP. It was a last minute show. I could split the part. I said yes.
Later I found out a series of things. This show is a true story during the Civil War. The owner, who is 92 years old, wrote the show. This was his favorite show ever. He wanted to see it done one last time before he passed. The theatre will be closing January 2014. It has been sold and will be torn down.
I also found out I would have to kiss a man. He has a bit of a beard. He is 24ish.
If that doesn't make you want to come see the show, I don't know what will.
See the show for Keith. See the show before the theatre gets torn down.
Please come see it. It's a touching piece of history,
