Tales of a concussed head

Tuesday evening, I was playing a round of "ball tag" with my great guy friends and got hit in the head with a soccer ball. I fell down and hit my head on the ground a few times. When the boys realized that I wouldn't be "fine" they carried me to one of their houses that was near-by. Disclaimer: Don't think this story will make you weep. It's hilarious. As they picked me up, I recall saying, "Sorry I weigh the amount of a normal human." They ended up driving me home and I confessed some deep, dark secrets that I will not repeat on the internet. I got inside and my uncle was talking to my mom about what to do. "how's your insurance? . . . You have to take her to the ER, someone got a concussion once and 12 hours later they died of a brain aneurysm!" He said. Then I wept out of fear. Mom took to first to the Instacare which proved to be closed. We went to the Orem ER and that's when I started to be weird. I don't recall all that I said. I started speaking in French and asking why people weren't pretty like the way they are on Grey's. "Are you pregnant or have taken drugs/alcohol?" They asked. "Girl. I have my Young Women's medallion AND a current temple recommend! Drugs are bad for you. I know that some people smoke for stress, but there's better things to do... like exercise!" In the end, at one o'clock, a CT scan later, I was sent home. The following week, I was given smoothies, waffles, cinnamon rolls, and friends to watch movies with. I don't have Netflix. My life was so hard, I watched Aristocats. I talked to cute boys at State Drama competition without any inhibitions because my brain was thinking off of first impulses. At State One Acts, I went to talk to a cute boy from Mountain View. The girls at my school were so "concerned" about me embarrassing myself, they had a debate as to who would save me from my impending doom. I asked someone to Morp. Someone I have only spoken to once. Someone I have only seen once. And I asked this person to Morp, this very popular person to Morp. Why did I think this was a good idea? Surely, even as I was concussed I should have realized this was kind of a stupid idea. (don't worry, he hasn't said no yet.) Having this concussion has been such a relief. I was entirely forgivable. I got away with anything and everything. It was fabulous. But team, don't get concussed. It's dangerous and you should be careful. Wear a helmet playing ball tag.
